3D Printing Individual Assignment
Designing Process
Once started out deciding what project I wanted to do and when I saw phone holder I knew that was the one, because I have no where to put my phone at night. First In sketched out my design. I decided I wanted something I could charge my phone in, and something I could hang on the wall. You can see my sketches on slide 1. Once I had my sketch done I created my design in inventor, Slide 2 has my final sketch on inventor.

Printing Process
When I was ready to print out my phone holder I wanted it to be a different color than in any printer, so I had to learn how to switch the color, slide 1 shows the color i picked. Once I changed the color I took my file from makerbot file, which can be seen on slide 2, and put it onto a thumb drive. I put the thumb drive into the 3D printer and began to print my object, which took around 5 hours. Images of the printing process are on slides 3 and 4.

Final Product
Once my phone holder was done printing I sanded down some sides, you can see the final product on slide 1. After I sanded down the edges I brought the holder home and hooked it onto my wall, which you can see on slide 2.

Summary
During my time on this rotation I gained a greater understanding of how to set up and print on the 3D Printer. I also learned how to switch out the colors in the 3D printer. I also became more efficient in inventor when designing, sketching and redesigning in my file. The main things I learned in this rotation was how to switch out colors and faster and different applications that I can use in inventor.
